Coastside Hope’s Adopt-A-Family Program: Celebrating the Season of Giving

At BryMar CPA, giving back isn’t just something we do—it’s part of who we are. Our team proudly continued one of our favorite traditions: supporting Coastside Hope’s Adopt-A-Family program. This year marked BryMar’s second year participating, and once again, it served as a meaningful reminder of the power of community. 

Coastside Hope has been a trusted cornerstone of the Half Moon Bay and Mid-Coast community for nearly five decades, serving as the region’s primary human services agency. Each year, they support thousands of individuals and families by providing access to food, clothing, housing and utility assistance, citizenship and immigration services, digital literacy support, tax preparation, scholarships, and case management.

From a food pantry that operates five days a week to senior support programs and year-round stabilization services, Coastside Hope’s impact extends far beyond the holiday season. Guided by their mission—“Necessities for today, opportunities for tomorrow”—they meet immediate needs while helping community members build lasting stability and brighter futures with dignity and compassion. 

This holiday season, BryMar’s Events Committee Fleet—a dedicated group of team members who coordinate internal and client events—once again led the charge. Our team reviewed wish lists and thoughtfully selected gifts for two local families before dropping them off at Coastside Hope. From there, the magic continued thanks to Coastside Hope’s incredible volunteers, who wrapped and delivered each gift with care and intention. 

Delivery day brought extra cheer as BryMar’s very own Santa’s helper, Audit Partner Sandy Martinez, made the festive trip to Half Moon Bay alongside her four-legged elf, Oslo, proudly wearing his custom BryMar elf suit. The joy, laughter, and sense of connection made the experience unforgettable—and a reminder that small acts, done together, can make a big impact. 

Behind the scenes, Coastside Hope’s volunteers worked tirelessly to bring the Adopt-A-Family program to life. A heartfelt thank you to Judy O’Leary and all the volunteers who spent countless hours wrapping gifts and ensuring families felt supported and celebrated. Your generosity, care, and commitment are what make this program—and this community—so special. 

Our relationship with Coastside Hope goes beyond the holiday season. They are also a valued BryMar audit client, and we are proud to support their mission by helping strengthen the financial foundation that allows them to serve the community with transparency and trust. It’s a partnership rooted in shared values, mutual respect, and a deep commitment to making a difference.
