Imagine this: the salty breeze of the Pacific Ocean tickling your skin as you lace up your running shoes, preparing to embark on a journey along the enchanting Coastal Trail of Half Moon Bay. That was the exhilarating scene as BryMar, our dynamic team, eagerly joined the festivities of the annual Pumpkin Run organized by the esteemed Senior Coast Siders.
For years, the Pumpkin Run has been a staple in the vibrant tapestry of Half Moon Bay's community events. With races ranging from the grueling half marathon to the spirited 1/4 mile kids' fun run, there's something to ignite the runner's spirit in
everyone. And let's not forget the backdrop of the famous Half Moon Bay Pumpkin Festival, where Farmer Mike's extraordinary pumpkin carvings, including the whimsical Baby Yoda and intricately carved faces, added an extra layer of magic to the atmosphere.
As we hit the trail, it wasn't just about the race—it was about embracing the spirit of Half Moon Bay, a place where community bonds run deep. Justina Bryant, our Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), summed it up perfectly: "Half Moon Bay is more than just a place; it's a community where people come together to support one another. It is great to see all the people come out to support Senior Coast Siders Pumpkin Run." And that sentiment echoed throughout the Pumpkin Run, infusing every step with camaraderie and joy.
At BryMar, our dedication to community involvement runs deep within our firm culture. Thus, when the chance emerged to join the Pumpkin Run and stand in solidarity with one of our esteemed clients, we seized the opportunity eagerly. The concept of rallying our team for this event was spearheaded by Audit Senior Alex Baron, with full support from our Managing Partner Michael Bryant and Partner Sandy Martinez, both of whom were enthusiastic about the idea from the get-go. Alongside them, Audit Senior Lyric Kadir, CMO Justina Bryant, and even our cherished office pup Oslo Martinez enthusiastically embraced the challenge, adding their fervor to our collective endeavor.
And while we might be tempted to jest about auditing the times of the top winners, the real winners were evident—the sense of togetherness, the spirit of resilience, and the unwavering support of the Half Moon Bay community.
We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Executive Director Sandi Winter, the dedicated staff, and the army of volunteers who worked tirelessly to make the Pumpkin Run a resounding success.
Looking ahead, we eagerly anticipate next year's race, eager to continue our tradition of working hard, playing hard, and being an integral part of the vibrant fabric of Half Moon Bay. After all, at BryMar, it's not just about the numbers; it's about the people, the community, and the shared experiences that make life truly remarkable.
